Destination clubs featured in NY Times

nyt_logo_sm.gif Last Friday, the New York Times published their second article in six months on the destination club industry. “Destination Clubs Find Their Niches” highlights the trend toward segmentation based on price, geography, or personal interests:

“In a new twist, the high-end variations on time shares known as destination clubs are becoming even more specialized. Instead of offering members a portfolio of vacation homes at spots ranging from beach resorts to midtown Manhattan, the newest clubs feature a single theme.”

The story mentioned several destination clubs that will be covered in detail in the inaugural Helium Report: The Markers, Vintner’s Club, Tanner & Haley, Private Retreats, Flyfishing Destinations, Signature Destinations, Dream Catcher, and Exclusive Resorts.

Consumer awareness is building and new clubs are finding innovative ways to segment the luxury vacation residence membership market. The Helium Report will help consumers learn more about their choices and determine which club fits them best—whether they’re golf enthusiasts or world travelers.
