Set amid Wyoming’s dramatic Teton Mountains, bordering Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks, it’s no wonder outdoor enthusiasts flock to Jackson Hole in year-round pursuit of fun in the snow and sun. Four-hundred inches of powder each year and 2500 acres of ski terrain at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort mean skiers are bound to be impressed with this winter wonderland, while the natural beauty of the surrounding parks and multitude of outdoor summer activities make it a four-season destination to be certain.
But what types of options does Jackson Hole offer when it comes to luxury real estate? Fortunately, the area has pretty much any type of vacation property a high-end home shopper’s heart could desire, from [destination clubs](http://www.heliumreport.com/destination-clubs and [private residence clubs](http://www.heliumreport.com/private-residence-clubs, to full ownership options at ultra-luxury resorts. Whether a ski-in/ski-out location is your priority, or you’re looking to stretch out in a 3,700 square foot private home, there’s a second home option for everyone in Jackson Hole. Here’s a look at four key players in this sought after market.
Snake River Sporting Club
Offering both whole and fractional ownership options, the Snake River Sporting Club is surrounded by national forests and boasts a Tom Weiskopf golf course and miles of cross-country skiing and hiking trails. Add fishing on the Snake River and an equestrian facility and the club should satisfy any fan of the outdoors with an appetite for activities. And lovers of downhill skiing will be excited to hear about the property’s newly opened private Mountain Lodge, 100 yards from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s gondola, which offers shuttle service, valet parking, ski wranglers, and storage for Sporting Club owners. Equity club membership at Snake river starts at $150,000, and operates like a private residence club. Whole ownership of their lodge cabins, which range from about 3,000 to 3,600 square feet depending on floor plan, starts at $1.25 million.
Four Seasons Residence Club & Private Homes
The Four Seasons’ property in Jackson Hole also gives buyers the choice of whole or fractional ownership, and owners can take advantage of all of the luxury amenities of the Four Seasons Resort—including dining establishments, a heated pool, fitness center and three outdoor hot-springs-style whirlpools. Skiers will appreciate the prime ski-in/ski-out location of the residences. Two- to three-bedroom units are decorated in a lodge-like, alpine style, and residence club memberships starting at $192,000 include exchange privileges at other Four Seasons Residence Clubs, including Vail, Scottsdale, Costa Rica and several locations in Mexico. Whole ownership on six available residences at the resort ranges from $3.5 million to $4.8 million.
The Teton Club
Another paradise for powder-lovers, The Teton Club’s mountain-base location and membership perks, including daily ski passes, storage lockers and ski valet service, will appeal to buyers looking to go fractional. The club features spa and fitness center facilities, hot tubs, indoor garage parking, valet service, a members’ lounge and bar and daily housekeeping services. The two- and three-bedroom condos are offered for a minimum of two weeks annually, and shares range in price from $12,000 to $81,000. Buyers at the Teton Club can also take advantage of membership exchange with The Miner’s Club in Park City or Whiski Jack in Whistler, BC.
Lusso Collection
For those who prefer the destination club model, the exciting news is that Lusso has recently added two Jackson Hole homes to its portfolio. By adding these new properties, Lusso joins the likes of Quintess and Exclusive Resorts, who also offer Jackson Hole homes in their portfolios. Located in the Teton Village at the base of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, both new homes have direct ski access. Each unit tops 3,100 square feet and features a hot tub its expansive deck. Individual memberships cost $425,000, plus $28,000 in annual dues, and allow unlimited access to Lusso’s portfolio of over 20 multi-million dollar homes in worldwide destinations.

Given the very high costs of residences in Jackson Hole, I'm surprised a developer hasn't offered a fractional ownership plan for new residences in places like the Spring Creek Ranch.
