This month, Quintess, LRW announced that they’re expanding beyond their destination club roots with a new travel program called Q Leading Experiences. Through the plan, Quintess, LRW will eventually offer 40 to 60 vacation packages in 10 to 15 destinations worldwide.
The move follows Exclusive Resort’s roll out of its “Once in a Lifetime” travel program last year which now include 17 trips. Quintess’ entry into this market also signals that destination clubs are moving to fill the role of a one stop shop for vacations, by adding trips that include stays at hotels rather than club-owned homes. For Quintess, given its partnership with the large luxury hotel group, the Leading Hotels of the World, this expansion is a natural fit.
“We are continually focused on what the members want,” said Quintess, LRW founder and executive vice president Ben Addoms. “This is yet another way we’re expanding and growing in response to what the members tell us. We’re working with the Leading Hotels of the World and the specific hotels to arrange these experiences and doing all of the vacation planning, so it’s 100 percent hassle-free and gives our members even more choices on how to customize their vacation experience with the club.”
The original Q Leading Experiences announcement included Australia, Croatia, Greece and Italy. Last week, Quintess added a fifth travel package in Washington, D.C. The experiences are targeted to complement local events and attractions, and they’re reserved through a lottery system that allows all members to have a fair shot of securing their top choice. Within a specified lottery period, members submit their top three locations and dates. Members can apply up to ten base-plan nights per year to Q Leading Experiences.
Here’s a rundown of what you can expect from the first five packages.
Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, Australia: Hayman
Australia’s premier private island, Hayman, is close to the Great Barrier Reef, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, and some of the best swimming and snorkeling in the southern hemisphere. During a seven-night trip, members will stay in one of the island’s pool or lagoon suites overlooking Hayman Beach. Guests will have the opportunity to visit the reef in the resort’s semi-submersible speedboat, Reef Dancer, which has glass viewing panels to show off the beauty of the reef and the many creatures that inhabit it.
Hvar, Croatia: Adriana Hvar Marina Hotel & Spa
The seven-day experience in Hvar includes a stay at Adriana Hvar Marina Hotel & Spa, with sweeping views of the old city center, the Venetian piazza, the cathedral, and the yacht harbor. Included are a wine tasting in a Croatian wine cellar, a private Adriatic Sea fishing trip and a Jeep trip through local villages. Adriana also has a full spa, a rooftop heated seawater pool and easy access to local activities and attractions.
Halkidiki, Greece: Danai Beach Resort & Villas
The 500 square foot Danai pool suite, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, is the home base for this five-night experience. The luxury resort is surrounded by white sand beaches on the Aegean Sea’s Pine Coast. Members will receive a private boat tour and onboard lunch along the coast of Mount Athos, known for its beautiful monasteries. The tour is followed by massages at the Danai Spa.
Brescia, Italy: Palazzo Arzaga Spa & Golf Resort
Palazzo Argaza is a 15th-century mansion that has been transformed into a five-star hotel. It is set amid 356 country acres and features two of Northern Italy’s best golf courses. During this six-night experience, members stay in a deluxe room for two, with full access to the grounds. A personal guided tour of the Mille Miglia Museum is included, as are a full range of spa services available onsite. The resort offers indoor and outdoor pools, horseback riding, tennis, and water sports.
Washington, D.C.: Hay-Adams Hotel
Five three-night packages are being offered for this year’s Fourth of July weekend at the five-star Hay-Adams Hotel in Washington. The big selling point for this package is a viewing of the Fourth of July fireworks on the National Mall from a private rooftop terrace on the first evening. Also included are a welcome gift, breakfast each morning and dinner for two before the fireworks. Arrangements on the second evening involve a two-hour tour of the city’s monuments accompanied by champagne.
Planned additions to the Q Leading Experiences portfolio include trips in Chicago, San Francisco and Boston, as well as a number of more exotic locations. Members can bring extended family and guests with them for minimal add-on charges, and sometimes without incurring any additional fees.
