How about which clubs will not make it, due to tightening credit markets? Dont they all rely on bank financing for the homes?

Good question, IndustryGuy. We're taking a closer look at financing in general among destination clubs and fractional properties. The biggest clubs are reporting that their mortgage financing is sound. But clearly a new club without established lines of financing may have a tough challenge ahead. Also worth noting, as the real estate market softens you'll see clubs making more calculated bets on where they will buy.

Seriously? I count on Helium to publish news & even gossip. Not hold it back until they get "permission." Thisis too coy and too cozy. Are you independent reporting or a PR outfit?

Thanks for your post Fred. Halogen Guides, formerly Helium Report, absolutely employs independent reporting. In fact, we pride ourselves in offering readers objective analysis on such big announcements. That said, a big news story often begins with a bit of buzz. Before we write about such a story we prefer to get the folks behind the announcement on the record for comment. There is no "permission" involved, as you implied. We were having a bit of fun with this post Fred. Let us indulge in a bit of light hearted musing on some big industry news.
