Destination club industry leader, Exclusive Resorts announced enhancements to its Members Benefits Collection with a new suite of services enhance the club’s core business by easing the common travel headaches club member may experience.
A partnership with Luggage Forward, a door to door luggage service, will ensure that members bags arrive swiftly and in tact. An alliance with private jet fractional card provider Marquis Jet will allow members preferred booking of jets, and a deal with Savoya, a leading global chauffeur service, should provide customers with transportation for the last few miles to the club’s homes.
Most intriguing of the newly announced benefits, is the partnership with the famed Mayo Clinic. While traveling to Exclusive Resorts homes, members who opt in for this service will have access to medical consultations from Mayo Clinic staff as well as the assurance of global medical evacuation coverage in case things take a turn for the worse. Members also will be able to enroll in the Mayo Clinic Executive Health Program, in Scottsdale, Ariz. for customized, boutique medical care.
As destination clubs continue to compete for members, access to homes may no longer be enough. Programs like these from Exclusive Resorts are evidence of the latest escalation of the destination club arms race.

Agreed..but I just got the member benefit brochure from ER - why do they insist on spending so much time and money on something that could be on their website or an email? Waste of member's dues and paper. Almost as bad as Amex in terms of wasting resources.

While these services certainly aren't part of a destination club's core business, I think we will only see more of such services. Destination clubs tend to have multi-million dollar homes in the same locations (Cabo, Aspen, New York etc...) so as clubs look to differentiate themselves from their competitors they are increasingly eyeing service. Good service can make or break a club. These extras are an attempt by clubs to solidify that they take care of their members on all fronts. As for those glossy brochures, my hunch is that as consumers become more environmentally in tune, clubs will start to look at their paper output. No doubt we'll soon see clubs, much like banks, giving their members the chance to opt out of mailings in favor of pure electronic communication.

has anyone really checked the price of the luggage benefit?? I could fly a personal valet for what they charge? Really, isn't it all about the properties and the availability? IF... you can't find a place to go, when you want to GO... you really don't need any luggage OR a personal jet:-0) How about real member to property numbers... NOT, properties in acquisition or construction?
