CNBC recently turned its attention to the soaring demand for private jet travel. In a feature, the popular cable financial news network discussed private aviations increasingly widespread use. The use of private jets by individuals and families for recreational travel, no longer just to ferry Fortune 500 boards to and meetings and factories, led the anchors to opine that the term “business jet” is becoming a misnomer: “it’s not business jets anymore, it’s rich people jets”

The feature singled out the growing use in fractional cards, with reference to Marquis Jet in particular. In a single day in December of 2007, some 61 fractional Marquis Jet cards were sold, with a starting price of $100,000. What can we say, but that fractional cards make great Christmas presents.
