We reviewed the destination clubs’ websites for changes and noticed the prices disappeared from Tanner & Haley’s site. Last month, we posted a chart with links to each club’s fees (click here). We were surprised to see the membership deposit and annual dues for Legendary Retreats, Distinctive Retreats II, and Private Retreats were no longer included in the graphic from Tanner & Haley’s site, below.

We spoke with Annee Lemon, a sales director at Tanner & Haley, who confirmed the prices had been removed recently after “a decision from corporate.” She provided the pricing – $1.3MM for Legendary, $450K for Distinctive, and $250K for Private – and highlighted the new “equity model” for the deposit. Members receive 100% return on their deposit at the then-current price, less a 7.5% transfer fee. Annee also explained Private Retreats members will have their membership deposits valued at $275,000 in 18 months, providing a “10% return.”

The transfer fee sounds like a different way of saying, “92.5% refund on membership deposit,” which is still higher than the 80% most clubs offer. We’ll speak to Mike Shelton, EVP, soon and provide more details on Tanner & Haley in their club profile. tanner and haley pricing.jpg Chart from http://www.tannerandhaley.com.
