The Ritz-Carlton Club recently rolled out a new fractional development in Vail, Colo. that is scheduled for occupancy in late-2010. As its third property in Colorado, Ritz-Carlton Club, the hotelier’s fractional real estate arm, is building 45 fractional residences, ranging from two- to four-bedrooms each.

The residences will be developed at the base of Vail Mountain in LionsHead Village and will have views of Vail Mountain. The units will be 1,300 to 2,874 square feet and have fully-equipped kitchens, high-speed Internet access and twice daily housekeeping. Sales begin in early-2009 for one-twelfth shares that secure buyers 21 days a year of use. Prices will be released later this year.

This latest fractional comes on the heels of new shared ownership properties from Ritz in San Francisco and Lake Tahoe. The new Colorado project joins a host of other fractional properties in Vail including the Club at Solaris, Austria Haus Club, Four Seasons Residence Club, One Willow Bridge Road, and Vail Plaza Club.

Another option for those seeking a retreat in Vail or nearby Beaver Creek is destination club homes. Ultimate Escapes has two homes in Beaver Creek. Quintess,LRW has three homes in the area including two in Vail’s LionsHead community. Exclusive Resorts has 11 residences in Beaver Creek and Vail and six more in the works, while High Country Club has two homes in the resort area.
