Escape from hurricanes with HelpJet

helpjet_home06.pngFor a $500 annual membership fee, you can reserve a seat on a Dornier 328 turboprop plane (photo, below) and escape hurricanes by air instead of trapped at home or on congested freeways.

Brian Rems at Galaxy Aviation offers flights to Atlanta, Nashville, and Charlotte when it’s time to evacuate southern Florida. The flights cost about $2,000, but can even leave the day a hurricane hits.

Rems hopes to sign up 1,000 HelpJet members from eight cities in Florida, including Miami, West Palm Beach, and Orlando. Read the USA Today story here.
