Ultimate Escapes Celebrates Member's Olympic Success

Djusa Destination club Ultimate Escapes is celebrating the Olympic accomplishment of one its members, Davey Johnson who, as the manager of the United States Olympic baseball team, helped his squad take home the bronze medal. While the bronze medal may have come as a disappointment to a team which was favored to take home the gold, Johnson has had more than his share of success.

Johnson’s career as a player in the Major Leagues spanned the ‘60s and ‘70s playing with the Baltimore Orioles, the Atlanta Braves, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Chicago Cubs. Davey also was a very successful manager with the New York Mets, Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Orioles and most recently, the Los Angeles Dodgers. The four-time All-Star and three-time Gold Glove winning second baseman twice won a World Series champion as a player, and added another ring as a manager.

Johnson isn’t the only Ultimate Escapes member to make news in the sports pages this year. Doc Rivers, coach of the NBA champion Boston Celtics, is also a long-time Ultimate Escapes member. With so many champions as members, perhaps Ultimate Escapes should consider forming a team. They may still be number two in the destination club industry in terms of total membership, but we bet they could take Exclusive Resorts in an inter-club face off.
