Some real estate news here from Quintess:

They have just opened a new 4 bedroom condominium home in the Great Bear Lodge at Northstar in Lake Tahoe. While I have not seen the Quintess property, I have seen Great Bear Lodge, and the new Northstar village. It’s a construction zone right now, but when finished will be one of the best locations of all the ski resorts in northern California. On par with Squaw, better than Heavenly (without the gambling) and miles ahead of Kirkwood and the others.

Not surprising that they chose a location in Tahoe. The club has a strong west coast membership presence, so they needed a premier destination up there for their skiers and snowboarders. However, Qunitess tends to position themselves as a club with homes valued in the $4 million range (higher than Exclusive Resorts), yet we know that Exclusive Resorts also owns condo homes in the same development. So at least in Tahoe, the two clubs would seem to have like-valued properties.

It’s also worth noting that they are approaching 100 members, so there will likely be a price increase at that time.
