No, it’s not a new 20 bedroom estate rivaling the Palace of Versailles, but it is the new home of industry leader Exclusive Resorts, as reported by the Denver Post. With 200 employees, Exclusive Resorts has more people working at their headquarters than most clubs have as members.
Destination clubs are the modern versions of Europe’s hotel particuliers (see article in today’s Financial Times). Offering a combination of 5-star luxury service with the intimacy of a private home, it’s no wonder people are intrigued with the concept of fractional real estate.
“Our plans for growth would get us another 100 properties a year, depending on when we buy in the cycle of real estate,” said Brent Handler, company president and co-founder.
With a target member-to-home ratio of 6:1, Exclusive Resorts could gain another 600 members this year. By 2010, they may have to consider Invesco Field for their next headquarters…
