Gentry Retreats, the second most affordable destination club, announced a new video on their website. A recent press release says the video “gives you a chance to see our retreats first-hand and you’ll get an insight into the mission and foundation of Gentry Retreats.”
A membership of deposit of $80,000 places the club at the low-end of the price tier. Only High Country Club, with a deposit less than many clubs’ annual dues ($20,000), provides a lower entry point. On their home page, Gentry Retreats positions itself as upper class, but not quite nobility:
gentry (jen’tre) noun
1. The class of English landowners ranking just below the nobility.
2. People of gentle birth, good breeding, or high social position.
a. An upper or ruling class.
They list 14 homes in their “Cornerstone Collection,” but we could not find any information about average home values. We’d expect them to correlate to the membership deposits and fall into the $1-2MM range.
We’ve placed another call to Kari Kron, Executive Vice President and Co-Founder, for more information. We’ll let you know what we find and include the results in their club profile. If you have any experience with Gentry Retreats or are a member, share your insights with us at tips@heliumreport.com.
