Los Cabos, Mexico - Member trip report (Part 1 of 4)

Trip Report for Los CabosA year and a half ago my wife, my then 18 month old, and I were vacationing in Hilton Head Island, SC in a nice rental property due to outgrowing our usual resort accommodations when we decided to plunge into investigating the destination club industry. After investigating (with hours and hours of research) numerous clubs and actually visiting a couple of properties in different clubs, we decided that BelleHavens was the club that best met our needs. We have now been a member for over a year and wanted to share some of our experiences on a recent trip to Los Cabos, Mexico.
I am going to walk you through the experience from start to finish to attempt to give you the feel for what being a member of BelleHavens is like. We always travel with friends for an annual trip in February, and this year we had decided to go somewhere warm. BelleHavens has two Mexican properties and neither family had been to Los Cabos so we decided to make that location our target. We went to the online reservation system and selected our week about six months in advance of the trip. Our member services representative confirmed the reservation and then forwarded to us the BelleHavens Guide to the area with an extensive list of recommendations. He also offered to assist us with any flight reservations and ground transportation. At the three month mark, it was time to start the detailed planning . . .the member services representative introduced us to the destination concierge who then assisted us in planning our trip down to the last detail including dinner reservations, a fishing trip, in-residence spa treatments, a birthday present for my wife, pre-arrival groceries, and the delivery of Valentine’s Day Flowers.
