Fractional yacht programs are reporting strong sales this year, and so are the charter firms. Why? Our sense is that affluent travellers around the world are looking for new vacation experiences, having stayed in plenty of 5 star + resorts over the last 10 years. And now there is also a good supply of boats – meaning that luxury yacht and sailboat owners are realising are adding their vessels to charter fleets in an attempt to reclaim some of the cost of operating them.

We will publish upcoming profiles on some of the fractional yacht programs, including Monocle, Pinnacle and YachtsPlus. We will also start to research the yacht charter business and compile a list of some of the better firms, especially in the luxury end of the spectrum.
