Ultimate Resort tends not to get the attention of the some of the other clubs, in part because they do not seem to have made the big investment in splashy marketing materials or a real fancy website. But it’s a small club that makes steady progress, in part based on their strong economic value proposition – $2M + value homes and the mostly costly membership plan had been under $200,000.

Ultimate Resort recently announced that their memberships are about to increase in price, effective October 1st – the Platinum plan will now be priced at $205,000. A price increase, as well as an incentive to get potential members to sign on, also tends to be a good sign – demonstrating that there is demand for the club. In the announcement, Ultimate also promoted:

Membership that provides the opportunity to indirectly share in the growth of the club and appreciation of the club’s property portfolio

We are not sure what this means, and will clarify with Ultimate Resort management this week – clubs such as BelleHavens, Private Escapes, Crescendo and Solstice have employed different approaches to provide some sort of real estate security and “appreciation” to its members. We will find out how Ultimate intends to accomplish this.
