We reported breaking news about Ultimate Resort last week when the destination club acquired the assets of bankrupt Tanner & Haley for $98 million.

Through December 31, 2006, Ultimate Resort destination club is offering a $10,000 club credit to new members. The credit can be used for additional nights at their properties, spa treatments, private chef services, golf fees, etc. The benefits might be a nice perk if you’re already planning to join Ultimate Resort, but on its own this offer is not enough of a reason to choose the club over another. However, the offer may help convince Tanner & Haley’s 874 members decide whether to join.

As we’ve mentioned in past stories, Ultimate Resort is one of the largest destination clubs with 78 members (pre-acquisition). If they’re able to add Tanner & Haley’s members, the club could move up to second place on the club list by size.
