There are only three days left in 2006, so you need to act now to benefit from the following deals. As of January 1st many destination clubs are raising prices or lowering refund amounts. Here are a few examples that we received news of:

As of January 1st, Private Escapes will be changing their deposit refund amount from 100% to 80%. If you are considering joining Private Escapes you may want to do so the next three days to lock in the fully refundable deposit. If you join the Pinnacle level ($350,000 deposit) the difference between refund percentages is $70,000.

As we reported earlier this month, Avantair will be raising the price on their smallest share, which is 1/16th, by $10,000 from $405,000 to $415,000. If you are already planning to purchase a share and want to save $10,000, you should take advantage of the offer. Avantair is unique because their entire fleet is comprised of Piaggio P.180 turboprop planes. Read a user review of the Piaggio aircraft to learn more about the 7-seater plane’s impressive cabin space, efficiency and speed.

In light of the recent Solstice merger with Parallel, Solstice will be raising their prices for new memberships as of January 15th, 2007. Prospects who have been in discussions with either club, will be eligible for the 2006 membership pricing until January 15th. After that date new members will have to pay the higher 2007 prices. See the exact pricing changes below:

  • Solstice Signature: Deposit is $505,000 now, moving to $535,000 after Jan.15th (6% increase).
  • Solstice Platinum: Deposit is $825,000 going to $875,000 (6% increase).
  • Solstice Sky: Deposit is $1.55 million, going to $1.65 million (6.5% increase).

BelleHavens has a holiday offer running until December 31, 2006 for a complimentary “lifetime Friends and Family Passport.” The “passport” gives members the ability to let any friends or family members use the club homes with out being there themselves. Many destination clubs have rules, restriction or charges around guest usage, which is sometimes a member complaint. The offer is equal to a savings of $3,500 per year so it should not sway your final decision whether or not to join.
