Telluride, Colordo is becoming one of the hottest destinations in the West. It has the number two ski resort in North America by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler. It’s also home to Hollywood stars like Darryl Hannah and Tom Cruise. Exclusive Resorts, High Country Club, the Portofino Club (Signature), Quintess, The Leading Residences of the World, and the Solstice destination clubs all have homes in the area.
The biggest drawback to Telluride is that there is very little direct flight service from major hubs, yet the Telluride Regional Airport and and Montrose Airport are available for charter flights. Still, this isn’t stopping investors from spending billions of dollars on new real estate developments, like the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and the LXR Luxury Resorts and Hotels. Another example is Capella Hotels and Resorts, which has chosen the mountain retreat as the brand’s official introduction into the U.S. marketplace.
Capella Telluride, developed by RAL Companies & Affiliates LLC, is slated for completion in Winter 2008/2009. This development combines a mountain/ski hotel with luxury accommodations and personalized service. Capella Telluride will feature 100 condominium hotel rooms ranging from $510,000 to $1,750,000 and 48 fully-owned two to four bedroom condominium residences ranging from $1,750,000 to $5,500,000. Ranging from two to four bedrooms, the average Capella Residence unit size will be 2,200 square feet and will include a private terrace, ultra-luxury finishes, fireplaces, steam showers, high end bath fixtures, ultra luxury kitchen appliances and equipment, imported stone and tile finishes.
Guests and residents at Capella Telluride will have access to indoor amenities including a lounge, spa, pool, fitness center, ski valet, restaurants, entertainment venues, climate controlled parking, a kids club, and shopping. Additional amenities will include an ice skating rink, golf course, tennis courts and rock climbing wall.
