Space is hot. According to Robert Frank at The Wall Street Journal’s Wealth Report, former Microsoft executive and really rich guy, Charles Simonyi has plunked down $20 million for a ride to the International Space Station next month. He will become the fifth space tourist, but there will be many more.
Esther Dyson, technology pundit and early stage investor, even has a conference on the subject – Flight School. The conference runs June 20-22 in Aspen, Colorado. Simonyi is one of the invited speakers. If he turns up, you will get to hear first-hand if the $20 million was worth it to get out of the earth’s orbit.
For less money, you can choose a sub-orbital flight – like what Virgin Galactic is offering for $200,000. Now accepting reservations. If that’s still too expensive, then you can experience weightlessness by booking Zero Gravity flight.
