Luxury Residence Options in Steamboat Springs Expand

It’s hard for destination clubs to accommodate the ski season demand, especially since most of the demand is so concentrated between the months of December and March. Clubs do their best with acquisitions and leases, but as we have said before these luxury vacation homes will probably always have 100% occupancy in ski season.
Donn Davis, Exclusive Resorts’ CEO, announced the acquisition of 10 four-bedroom luxury condos at the base of the gondola in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, in an effort to give members more options when it comes to booking their ski vacation.
The condos will be ski-in, ski-out and will feature a full complement of five-star services and amenities, including spa and fitness center, game rooms, a resort pool, ski valets and cozy member gathering areas. Each 2,600-square-foot residence will feature a gourmet kitchen and heated bathroom floors, and magnificent mountain and valley views.
The new residences are part of a new development project called One Steamboat Place by Timbers Resort, the developer of several existing Exclusive Resorts’ properties, including Castello di Casole in Tuscany, Esperanza in Los Cabos, and The Rocks in Scottsdale, among others. David Burden, Timbers Resort’s CEO, recently talked to Helium Report about their partnership with Exclusive Resorts. Burden himself is a member and he points out Exclusive Resorts owns units at each of the Timbers Resorts properties.
Helium Report Perspective
Many destination clubs are adding more ski properties, but they all face the challenge of demand far exceeding supply for seasonal properties. If you are set on going ONLY to Steamboat Springs during the ski season every year, then a destination club is probably not the right choice.
Here are a few Private Residence Clubs that are located in Steamboat Springs, where you can buy your guaranteed access for winter season:
Other options you should consider if you are interested in one specific location at a given time every year are buying a second home or renting a property during peak season – but it won’t come cheap. If, however, you are flexible in terms of where you ski in Colorado, then destination clubs, like Exclusive Resorts, Ultimate Resort and Private Escapes offer homes at different resorts, including Vail, Aspen, Telluride and Beaver Creek.
