You are viewing an article from the Destination Clubs category.
The New York Times managed yet another walk-through of the super-exclusive, ski-oriented, Yellowstone Mountain Club. While we still await an offer to fly in billionaire club owner Tim Blixseth’s G550 jet, the Times examined some of the most exclusive homes in destination club land.
In the article, Times reporter Jim Robbins did not speak with Blixseth, who might be laying low. His recent (and surprisingly amicable) divorce followed some legal jousting with former Tour de France winner Greg LeMond, concerning their financial investments.
Blixseth still makes headlines, particularly with Yellowstone Club’s talk of a soon-to-be-built $155 million home, conveying ambitious plans for the future. Furthermore, with club members like Bill Gates under his wing, Blixseth has the leverage to be innovative. And with membership buy-ins at $3 million, the exclusivity of the club is unquestionable.
