Capella Pedregal Yachts Set to Float Fractional

Viking sport cruiser, 57-footJust days after we updated our luxury guide to Cabo San Lucas, private residence club Capella Pedregal added another yacht to its fleet for club members. In a press release, they confirmed their newest yacht to be a 57-foot Viking sport cruiser. The club plans to own exclusively Viking brand sport cruising yachts.

“[They] will be stocked with top of the line scuba gear… including a five-passenger Nouvarania sport boat and sea kayaks,” reads the press release. A Captain and First Mate are also available for each yacht, in addition to satellite television, and the usual state-of-the-art electronics.

While there is no shortage of private residence clubs in Baja Mexico (or yachts for that matter), you would be hard-pressed to find fractional yachts as an incentive to purchase a fractional residence. Capella Pedregal is the only private residence club that combines fractional ownership interest with real-estate and yachts.

Capella Pedregal plans a total of nine yachts to be in their fleet by spring 2009 when the community opens. Membership to the optional Capella Yacht Club starts at $75,000, with the price expected to increase as their opening date draws near. The fee is included in the total cost of ownership and pays for luxury amenities on deck. “Yacht rock” not included.
