To help you organize your own objectives and requirements for a private jet trip, Helium Report has prepared the following checklists for you or your assistant:
Private Jet Preflight Checklist: 3-4 days beforehand
- Determine your goals for your in-flight time. Do you want to rest or catch up on a book? Watch a movie? Conduct a business meeting? Complete a project?
- Determine passenger list
- Consider additional passengers who might fill empty seats, or join in the event another passenger cancels
- Check with passengers on catering preferences, dietary restrictions, media preference (movies, music), and their own goals for in-flight discussions, meetings or projects
- Notify passengers of any baggage restrictions and request detail on any special baggage requirements
- Confirm flight times
- Confirm weather conditions (and flight delay risk)
- Request flight information: Crew names, flight operator, aircraft tail number, and auditor reports on all three
- Request an estimate of flight costs with an expense breakout if appropriate
- Arrange ground transportation
- Provide guest instructions – a tail number and instructions on packing, parking, the general aviation terminal location and how to find the plane
- Check crew IDs
- Confirm that crew and plane match the plan. If not, request an explanation and a new set of reports
- Confirm catering and media choices
- Discuss flight and weather conditions with flight crew
- Run through Flight Safety Checklist
