New homes are on the horizon for the destination club, Quintess. Just over a week ago Quintess announced their LRW Future Fund 1, a $125 million fund for new home development. Helium Report recently received the June edition of the Quintess newsletter which summarizes their plans for the near future.
The company states that member feedback from post-stay surveys and online voting will determine its real estate decision making process in creating the company’s club portfolio. Results from the destination surveys are posted in the newsletter, highlighting the top ten current favorites, top five least favorite destinations and properties, and the top fifteen most desired destinations.
The top ten favorites come as no surprise. Los Cabos takes the number one spot, followed by various ski destinations like Aspen and Vail. Quintess will be spending a large portion of the fund building new residences at these high demand destinations, as well as expanding to new destinations such as Deer Valley and San Francisco, and foreign destinations such as Tuscany, Whistler, and Bermuda, just to name a few. Readers will find Helium Report’s interactive map of destination club locations useful, as it can narrow down preferences for urban, beach, or mountain locations.
Quintess removed Costa Rica from the calendar even though the location was added to the portfolio only a year ago. Exclusive Resorts currently has thirteen residences in the Central American country, and eleven additional homes in development. High Country Club has one residence in the area, and both Crescendo and Ultimate Resort have one residence in development.
On another note, Quintess has already put into effect the new 2008 holiday lottery to eliminate the shortcomings of the previous holiday lottery rotation. The new system will guarantee each member a holiday reservation every year with a rotation period of three years. Holiday reservations are typically the biggest headache for destination club consumers, and clubs have different approaches to give their members access at peak times.
