Two destination clubs have announced trial memberships in a step to woo fence-sitters.
The Markers
The Markers, a golf-themed destination club that caters to golf enthusiasts, has just announced two membership preview plans for perspective members who would like to try the club before joining. The details are as follows:
- The twelve month trial membership priced at $18,500 offers 21 days of advance reservation and 35 days of space available.
- The six month trial membership, priced at $10,500, allows perspective members to book eleven days in advance reservations and twenty days of space available.
Along with the trial memberships, The Markers is offering an early conversion option, in which after four months, preview members may elect to convert to full membership status and enjoy a $20,000 discount and three months of extended payment terms. The Markers offers residences at exclusive golfing locations, including St. George, Scottsdale, Cabo San Lucas, and Kiawah Island. In addition, The Markers’ members enjoy access to the 185 private golf clubs affiliated with the Private Golf Networks.
High Country Club
High Country Club is similarly luring new members with a trial offer which will end on August 31, 2007. Prospects receive:
- Seven nights with a membership fee of $20,000, which can be refunded after their stay.
- Annual dues will be $1,750, with no included nightly fees.
- Current memberships for High Country Club range from $30,000 to $60,000, with access to over 30 destinations around the globe, including residences in Mexico, Italy, and the Caribbean.
The Helium Report Perspective
Helium Report’s Decision Guide to Destination Clubs gives consumers a well-rounded perspective on club fees, due diligence, and reservation explanations. The game of limited supply and continuous price increase announcements, including special trial memberships, are a typical marketing tactic to entice new prospects. Nevertheless, if you’re considering a destination club membership, a trial period is a great chance to test-drive their reservation system, concierge services, and the quality of their properties.
