An age-old English getaway – the cottage – has gone fractional, introducing another real-estate asset that’s up for shared ownership.
Penhaven Estate is a private residence club located about four hours from London, and a few miles from the sea. Europe’s fractional market is gaining momentum, as Helium Report noted last week
A Tenth Slice and Tea
The Penhaven Cottages are set in a 10-acre estate, and fractional ownership shares start at one tenth interests from £19,500 for five holiday weeks each year – specifically two weeks during the peak summer months, two mid-season weeks, and one off-peak week. Fractional ownership at Penhaven will give owners a lease of 999 years, so ownership can be passed on to future generations.
Each of the cottages at the luxury fractional has two bedrooms and sleeps four residents. The cottages include a breakfast bar, king-sized beds, and a secured garden area with patio. Nearby is the Penhaven Country House Hotel, where cottage owners can network with other owners and guests, or enjoy dinners at the restaurant at preferential rates. Club members can also book rooms at the hotel for additional guests at special rates.
