San Francisco Bay-Area based private jet company, XOJet, announced a $600 million deal for 30 new medium-sized Citation X jets from Cessna today.
XOJet’s fleet is expected to consist of 47 Citation X business jets – the fastest on the market – when the delivery is complete by the end of 2010. XOJet operates an exclusive fleet of Citation Xs for exchange ownership and on-demand charter. Fractional jet operators like NetJets and Flight Options operate fleets of different jet models while still boasting efficiency and luxury for their customers.
Rather than offer typical 1/16th or 1/8th fractional ownership shares, XOJet members can pay a direct operating cost for flying up to 400 hours per year, and any charter flights booked are in-house. Some charter providers simply match clients with third-party operators among an open or defined fleet.
