Ski season officially begins in just a few weeks, but destination clubs are already in the midst of rolling out new properties for extreme skiers, snowboarders, bunny slope aficionados and those vacationers who simply prefer to curl up in front a roaring fire. Here’s an overview of the latest mountain options at four destination clubs this winter.
LUSSO Collection
LUSSO just rolled out homes in Copper Mountain and Breckenridge, Colo. for this winter ski season that are available for use in January. The club also announced two more Breckenridge penthouse properties would be available to club members in 2009. Copper Mountain is a full-service ski resort that puts skiers in a prime spot to hit other area resorts including Beaver Creek and Keystone. LUSSO’s Sky View property at Copper Mountain is 3,300 square feet with direct ski-in/ski-out access. It has four bedroom suites, a game room, a rooftop hot tub, and a large private patio. The Breckenridge property at the Shock Hill Lodge & Spa includes full resort amenities and gondola access to both the mountain and the town.
One Key
In early October, One Key announced new destinations in Telluride, Colo., Park City, Utah, and Whistler, British Columbia. The properties are large, multi-bedroom homes and condos. Properties in Telluride are mostly single-family homes while the Park City options, including residences at the Deer Valley Resort, are a mix of homes served by a ski shuttle to take visitors to the lifts and condos with direct ski-in/ski-out access. The club, which leases its residences rather than owning property, can arrange to have ski gear and even lift tickets delivered directly to the residences. One Key is also planning on announcing residences in Mont Tremblant, Quebec later this year.
Quintess
Quintess, the Leading Residences of the World, will open up two new lodges at the Deer Valley Resort in Utah in mid-November.
These new properties are an addition to Quintess’ deep portfolio of ski properties including homes in Telluride, Aspen, Colo., Jackson Hole, Wyom. and California’s Lake Tahoe, among others. The new Deer Valley homes are three levels, with five bedrooms, private ski shuttle service, and three distinct living areas.
Exclusive Resorts
This destination club behemoth added 18 new ski properties this year. It has eight new properties in Deer Valley, and six in the Lake Tahoe area that are easily accessible to resorts including Northstar at Tahoe and Squaw Valley. There are also three new homes in Telluride and one in Beaver Creek. Earlier this summer, Exclusive Resorts announced it was building ten new four-bedroom residences at the Arrabelle at Vail Square, a development that should complete as early as the spring of 2008.
