This review was written by a Crescendo member prior to the club's aquisition by Abercrombie & Kent

As a wealth manager, I was asked numerous times over the past few years by high-net-worth clients if the destination clubs were a good investment. Until Crescendo solved the conflict of interest problem, I would say, “only if you have money to burn” as it was not an investment at all in reality, but rather a way for the management of those clubs to amass a nice real estate portfolio on other people’s money with no financial upside (or security) to the “members.” THEN, Crescendo changed the landscape by creating a private investment vehicle (a “fund” if you will) that also enabled the “investors” in that vehicle to use the properties in the same manor as the members of the other clubs. It is a subtle, yet important change in perspective which aligns the economic interests between the investors and the managers of the fund. So, not only did that change the answer I gave as a professional in a fiduciary capacity, but it inspired me to personally invest in Crescendo (or become a “member” in the other vernacular). Thus, I have the next 10 years (the stated fund timeframe) to enjoy checking out the growing list of properties in our portfolio all with the comfort that my investment fits within my overall asset allocation and has the opportunity to appreciate along with all my other investments. It sure makes visiting those investments more fun knowing that I am actually an owner. Off to Hawaii in a couple weeks to check on one of my homes….
