We recently had our first stay as a Distinctive Holiday Homes Member. We stayed at the Fiji property with our two young kids.

We arrived at the resort from Nadi airport via helicopter. That was quite exciting for us and our kids. Flying low over the beautiful Fijian waters and islands was quite an experience.

The property itself is amazing. A massive 3 bedroom villa, with a balcony that runs the entire length, directly on the beach. Each room is thoughtfully fitted out with every personal amentity you could have forgotten to bring with you as well as DVD and plasma screens. The lounge room has a library, games, iPod and sound system, and another DVD/Plasma screen.

The conceirge organised a full time nanny to look after our kids which meant that my wife and I actually felt like we had a holiday!

The conceirge organised our breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was quite indulgent but we loved it. The Fijinan people are lovely so the conceirge and nanny became part of our family.

We were already planning our next trip to this property before we had even left. It will become a regular holiday for us. Our next trip however is to the property in Tuscany. We are staying there two weeks in July. This property has a separate guest house so we are taking our nanny with us so that we can once enjoy the time off with our kids but also get the opportunity to also enjoy some time off with my wife.
