To the Helium Report:

This is a copy of my letter I wrote to the founder of One Key, Jay Sapovitz. I wrote this letter right after I got back from my vacation. I think the letter says it all.

Dear Jay,

I finally have a moment to sit down and collect my thoughts about our recent trip out to Beaver Creek, Colorado… and I want to share them with you.

As you well know, I am the kind of person that is very detail oriented. Even though I didn’t completely give the reins over to OneKey (Josh)for the planning of our family ski vacation, I did feel that I had to do a heck of a lot less work than I would normally do prior to and during a vacation.

From the time that we got to the property, we felt like all the details had been taken care of… yes, the weather did not allow for a Federal Express package containing our schedule, notes, and required forms for ski school / ski rental.. but that didn’t stop you from making sure that we got the needed information and paperwork… most people would have said, “hey John, the things you need today will be delivered to you tomorrow cuz the weather prohibits our sending them out today”... but nooooo…. OneKey faxed the critical paperwork… and I must say that this was not a surprise to me because Josh had already called me and let me know what was happening. Nice work Josh!

Initially, I thought to myself… ah, this is a great vacation but what did OneKey really do for me?...

The BIG difference from my perspective was that I didn’t really have to do anything… anything other than enjoy myself. Now I know what my family and friends feel like when they go on a vacation with me… totally relaxed… totally relaxed because they knew that all the little details were taken care of by me… well let me tell you, that’s a thing of the past… no longer will I have to …. hmmm, what’s the best way to put it? I guess the best way I can think of would be to compare and contrast THIS ski vacation with our most recent ski vacation that I put together. What things did I do prior to my introduction to OneKey?

Hours… scratch that… DAYS and DAYS of searching the web for the perfect home to rent at our desired destination. (Deer Valley)

Once I finally found a home that I THOUGHT would fit the needs of all the people travelling with us, I found it necessary to contact the owner of the property personally. I NEEDED to hear her voice and I NEEDED to get her view on the property. Of course, that not being enough for me, I requested the names and contact information of people
who had previously stayed at the home. I had to call them to get THEIR feel for the home. Once I had it set in my mind that this location was the one for us, then the real work began. Did I mention HOURS and DAYS on the web looking at potential properties. Of course, after I had
satisfied my need to “know” that this was the right property, there was still a little bit of me that thought… ” OMIGOD, I hope that this place isn’t really a double-wide with lipstick on it to make it look good
for the web”... I had to take a little leap of faith.

Once I had done that, I could then get down to the arduous task of setting up the schedule. I made numerous calls to restraunts in the area (again having to take the word of the person at the other end of the phone telling me about how good their food was)... I had to make reservations for a party of at least 15 people for 3 out of the 5 nights that we were staying in Deer Valley… making sure that they were “kid friendly”... God forbid my party size changed!

I had to contact multiple massage therapists from the phone book to set up “massage night” at the house. Next it was finding a service to get out to the house and rent skis,
boots, poles, etc… That took a bit of work as you can imagine… then it was time to call the mountain and set up lift tickets, ski school and private instructors… I mean, imagine the conversation….

” Yes Mr. Coffey, that’s right, if you buy the 5-day pass, you can ski here at DV for all 4 days that you’re here and it works out to be less to you per diem unless it’s a leap year, then all bets are off…. the kids that are in ski-school need to have a “kiddie” lift ticket and the
adults need to have regular lift tickets… what age is an adult? 12, 13? Can they vote in local elections? That is unless you have a private instructor then that changes everything… blah blah blah”

I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out if I had made the right decision on which lift ticket package I ended up buying…

move on to the private instructor for my older kids… how much does it cost if I have 4 kids with and instructor? What if one of the kids “bows out” of the lesson earlier? Can someone else take their place? Does it cost extra? Can I ski with my kids? What time do we meet?
Have you ever been arrested? How about convicted?... my questions were endless!

I’m not even going to get into the nightmare I had in trying to find a baby-sitter, cleaning lady, and laundress…. you get the idea.

Now, fast forward one year… If I could have completely let go and made the leap of faith knowing that OneKey was going to do exactly what they said that they would do…. the following would have been the extent of my “planning” phase…..

Call Josh at One Key

I know for a fact, that the next vacation we take will be with OneKey and I know that I will try my hardest to ” Let go and Let Josh ” do his thing.

How comforting it was to know that if we had any mishaps… all I had to do was “Call Josh”.... talk about peace of mind… anytime my wife would ask me about a detail, I didn’t have to go into a big presentation about how things were set up or show her my power point presentation on what the schedule was… in the past, that would be the laminated schedule I would have put together and posted on the fridge… I just told her that Josh has it covered and it’s all taken care of.

As I mentioned to you earlier. There are three parts to a
vacation… Anticipation, Vacation, Reflection….

I now realize that I had not been practicing what I preach… I was never really able to Anticipate properly cuz I was too wrapped up in the minutae of the planning phase… I didn’t really have time to anticipate our vacations… Well let me tell you brother… those days
are over. You see, in the past… all those little “leaps of faith” that I had to take with the house, dinners, massage, sitters, lessons, etc…. have not all been boiled down to one leap of faith… that’s the leap of faith to trust in OneKey to take care of all the details…

going forward, it’s truly not even a leap of faith, it will be a step I take based on knowledge and experience with the expertise of OneKey.

Thank you for OneKey and thank you for the opportunity to be part of something special.

Best Regards,
John Coffey
