“Our trip to New York was such a success. Danny, the Destination Host, was wonderful and we spoke with him every day. We loved the restaurants Darren, our Member & Travel Advisor, picked: 11 Madison Park had outstanding food, service, and quiet atmosphere as well as great wines; Esca had outstanding service, okay food, reasonable wines, and was noisy due to being a pre-theater restaurant; and DB Bistro had outstanding service, good food, a great wine recommended by the sommelier, but was also noisy due to the pre-theater crowd. We probably gained a few pounds, so we clearly enjoyed all three of these. My wife was tickled with the “Happy Birthday” on her dessert plate at Esca. A special thanks to Darren for the Dom Perignon, 1998, which we shared with our daughter and her husband after the great show—“Curtains.” This was a nice touch, and we really appreciated this great champagne. The Midnight Magic residence has great views and I enjoyed the coffees, too. I’m glad it didn’t have a balcony as the Nor’easter rains we endured would have flooded it. I wish I hadn’t booked so many other trips this year (Seabourne cruise, a China trip, and Disney World, etc.) as I would love to visit other Quintess, LRW properties. We are looking forward to more wonderful travel experiences with Quintess, LRW. In fact we have now scheduled Kolea on the Big Island of Hawaii, and Pelican Heaven on St. Thomas for winter retreats.” Member Dr. G. Mac McNichols
