The Markers Club has exceeded our expectations since we joined about a year ago. We have visited over half of the homes and each one has had unique aspects which have contributed to our trips. All of the current and future destinations are the home of great golf courses and the Markers staff is very experienced with obtaining prime tee times at the links of our choice. As an avid golfer who was serious about joining a destination club, the Markers was the obvious choice for us. We have vacationed at many of the top golf resorts in the country and we have been pleased with the Markers accommodations with every experience. The homes have generally been four bedrooms and four bathrooms with large kitchens and living areas which are great for traveling with friends or extended family. One of the highlights of our trips is watching the expressions on our kids faces as they explore each Markers home to see what’s new and checking out the shower and bathtub fixtures. The furniture, bedding, and decor at each location has been first class as well.

Our favorite Markers destination has been the Kiawah Island home. It is a traditional South Carolina / low country home which sits right on a golf course. The golf at Kiawah Island is fantastic, but it was the southern hospitality and proximity to the beach that made our stay so memorable. There were four bicycles provided in the garage and we rode them every day along the sand as we watched crabs dart in and out of the surf. The local Markers concierge, Gwynn, was wonderful and she even had some treats ready for us when we arrived at the home hours late due to a weather-delayed flight. She provided recommendations for us to experience some outstanding southern cuisine at restaurants in Charleston and the local Kiawah area. (The carriage ride tours in Charleston are not to be missed!)

The Markers Club is relatively small when compared to other offerings in the residence club industry as it is planned to have only 325 members and 36 destinations. We have enjoyed the personal service that this size provides and the availability of the destinations has been good.

Suggestions

We hope the Markers can grow its membership quickly so that new destinations and the mobile coach can be added soon. We also hope that the Markers continues its focus as a Residence Club designed for the golf enthusiast.
