A Signature Development of Timbers Resorts, Castello di Casole is a 4,200 acre, 1,700 hectares, estate in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. Upon completion, Castello di Casole will include a boutique hotel, world-class spa and luxury Casali farmhouses. All are carefully situated among the rolling hills of vineyards and olive groves that span this exceptionally vast estate.

The restoration of the 41-suite plus penthouse boutique Castello is well underway and we will be delighted to open its doors in the summer of 2009. The castle will include ultra-luxury suites, fine and casual dining restaurants, a bar, pizzeria, small artisan shops including an Italian bike shop, espresso café and gelateria, a fitness center and a world-class spa. The Castello is centrally located on the property and will be the gathering point for all members and guests.

Commanding the most favored sites throughout the property are the ruins of modest farmhouses. Each is being painstakingly restored by architects and artisans and gently coaxed into the modern age. Great care and effort is being taken in the renovation and restoration process. Significant focus has been placed upon maintaining the original integrity and design of these simple country homes. Reclaimed farmhouse materials, such as old stones, ceiling tiles and terra cotta roof tiles are being used throughout the restoration process.

Each Casale will include all the modern conveniences one expects such as spacious kitchens outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances, air-conditioning, a grand Tuscan fireplace and the latest wi-fi internet technology with fax and printer. Indoor spaces for each family compound are 3550 to 7,000 square feet or 360 to 650 square meters. They are organized around a series of glass-tiled, infinity edge pools and hand set stone patios warmed by original forno a legna or wood burning ovens.
