We’re looking for a high-energy sales executive with at least 2 years of online advertising sales experience. The perfect candidate has existing relationships with media buyers and advertising clients. The role will initially involve assisting the Vice President of Sales with proposals and attending agency meetings. After 6 months, you will then garner your own book of sales. The position will report to the Vice President of Sales.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and initiate contact with advertising prospects, through cold calls, in-person presentations and/or leveraging of existing contact lists.
• Assess customer needs; develop effective sales proposals; negotiate deals; and ensure successful delivery of advertising campaigns.
• Manage communications, scheduling and approvals between the client and the operations team throughout the implementation process.
• Thorough understanding of insertion orders and ad inventory management.
• Collaborate with Client Services teams on implementation, delivery and optimization of campaigns.
• Meet quarterly and annual revenue goals according to sales plan.
• Aptitude and experience closing $10K-$50K deals.
• Effectively identify a prospect’s needs and offer quality solutions both over the phone and in-person.
• Accurate record keeping and maintenance of all accounts, clear and proactive communication with Accounting Dept.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree.
• 2 years online sales and sales support experience.
• Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Knowledge of business and advertising trends with the ability to translate this knowledge into advertising solutions for clients.
• Fluency with media-buying terminology (eg, CPM v. CPA, reach v. frequency, GIF v. Flash) and proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint.
• Solid understanding of online advertising, marketing and media types.
• Impeccable integrity and pride taken in a job well done.
• Strong, confident phone selling skills.
• Detail oriented, highly organized and able to handle multiple priorities.
• Superior oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as a motivated team player.
• Startup Experience is a plus.
